Join Us for National HIV AIDS Awareness Testing Day at LALA
Every year on June 27, communities across the country recognize National HIV Testing Day (NHTD)—a day to raise awareness about the importance of HIV testing, early diagnosis, and access to affirming care. This year, we’re bringing the message to life in the heart of St. Pete with a powerful and fun community event at LALA Restaurant—and you’re invited.
Why NHAATD Matters
In the United States, over 1.2 million people are living with HIV, and about 13% of them don’t know it. In Florida—ranked third in the nation for new HIV infections—the need for accessible testing and stigma-free care has never been more urgent, especially among Black, Latino, and LGBTQ+ communities.
Early testing is the first step toward prevention, treatment, and ending the stigma. Testing saves lives, and it opens doors to resources like PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) and gender-affirming healthcare for those most impacted.
What to Expect at the Event
We’re proud to partner with ICG Foundation and local allies to host an evening dedicated to awareness, empowerment, and celebration. Join us at LALA in St. Petersburg on Thursday, June 27, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and be part of the movement.
Event Highlights:
Free HIV testing and health resources
Raffles, food, and drinks to enjoy while connecting with the community
Education on PrEP, PEP, and gender-affirming care
Support from healthcare professionals and advocates
Whether you’re getting tested for the first time or bringing a friend to learn more, this is a night for everyone to feel seen, safe, and supported.

Testing is simple, fast, and confidential—and it’s one of the most powerful tools we have to protect ourselves and our communities. On June 27, let’s stand together to break the stigma, celebrate progress, and make sure everyone has access to the care they deserve.
